In the midst of the second COVID-19 wave, we, a group of dedicated individuals, came together to create Practo Foundation. Our mission was simple yet powerful: to ensure people had access to doctors, medicine, and healthcare. We reached out to over 35,000 people, providing free medicine and check-ups to 9,000.
As we continued, we realized the need for more comprehensive care. We partnered with quality medical establishments and NGOs across 3 states to run healthcare camps. We aimed to build trust and motivate people to seek the help they needed.
After a few months, we made a significant discovery—cataracts were a prevalent issue. Many people needed help with this eye problem. This marked the beginning of our journey to address 10,000 cataracts, a journey that's still ongoing.
Over two years, our dedication to eliminating cataracts in India has not faltered. Our goal is to create awareness and ensure a cataract-free India, starting with #Mission10kCataracts by 2024
Our journey is a testament to the power of unity and compassion. Despite the challenges, we've provided hope, healing, and clearer vision for the future.
As we look ahead, we're excited about the lives we'll touch and the brighter future we'll help create through Practo Foundation. This is just the beginning of our journey, and we can't wait to see where it leads us in the years to come.
